Emotions are born to become movement – be it face expression, a voice, a posture, or an actual physical activity and when we muffle and suppress them systematically, we store unspent emotional load, which over time finds expression in chronic pain, inflammations, diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, autoimmune diseases, psychological disorders, skin problems and all sorts of other forms of ill health. Ointments, supplements, drugs and therapies only provide temporary relief because their mechanism is to cure the symptom, not the disease!

Every modern sport aims to build qualities such as strength, flexibility and endurance, but often with the superficial aim of creating an external fitness aesthetic that we can display on our social networks. None of these practices set out to unravel how the movement generated by them relates to our emotions and how we can liberate them through it.

We all have started from somewhere! Movement is for everyone and our goal is to learn through movement – not to compete! No matter what your fitness level is the practices we are going to perform will be modified to your current state.  We are not going to push you over your limits but instead – invite you to explore them! In order to overcome prolonged neglect of your body-emotions connection, you need to take your time and let the awareness come in a steady pace one spoon at a time. If you need to stop and catch your breath – this your privilege and you won’t be judged! You will have opportunity to practice emotional movement from our videos and course materials after the workshop.

Meet your host

Ivan Germanov is a movement practitioner that has more than 18 years of experience in all types of sports and physicals practices. Pacing through various movement disciplines like Bodybuilding, Karate Do, Gymnastics, Calisthenics, HIIT, Functional Training and Yoga he develops approach towards movement that aims to close the gap between the strive for simple fitness aesthetics and mental and spiritual consequences of physical movement (or lack of). Being a movement teacher for the better part of his life and developing profound interest in psychology and emotional intelligence, and now he distills his journey into a simple methodology that can be applied in everyday life so we can be more agile with tackling the stressfulness  of our modern habitat.  

Workshop timetable

  • 12:00 - 12:30 || Registration

    Registration and meeting the group

  • 12:30 - 13:30 || Presentation

    Presentation on the 7 universal emotions all people experience and how they interconnect with the five elements of the Xibird Method™ - Air, Fire, Water, Erath, Aether

  • 14:00 - 14:45 || Practice Block 1 - Anger, Fear, Surprise, Happiness

    Introducing the primary action-triggering emotions and their link to the explosive Xibird™ elements of Air and Fire. In this block we'll create heat from thin air with aerobic and high intensity movements so we can tap into our hidden aggression or muffled happiness

  • 14:45 - 15:30 || Coffee & protein break

    Replenishing our body is not only pleasant but necessary in order to make the maximum of our experience so we'll make a small break to grab a cup of coffee, protein shake and some light cuisine and prepare for a deep dive into the next block

  • 15:30 - 17:00 || Practice Block 2 - Sadness, Disgust, Contempt

    In the 2nd part of our workshop we connect with our debilitating emotions - the one that don't demand direct action or even worse - restrict it fully. Going through this block we'll have the feeling we are moving in water or burning inside - not releasing the heat on the surface. In the end we'll balance all emotions with a meditative breathing practice.

  • 17:30 - 18:00 || Completion Certificate & Group Photos

    After we balance the body and mind it's important to celebrate! All participants will receive certificate for completion and will be added to an inner circle group of Emotional Movers™ where we can continue the conversation

  • 18:00 - 20:30 || Dinner with the group (optional)

    If you have no other plans for the night you might optionally join the group for a dinner and talk after party in a local restaurant of choice
